MedCard™ Wireless RFID Personal Identity Card Description
The MedCard™ RFID Patient Identity Card is a proprietary RFID Card used to identify patients with their associated Patient Electronic Health Records. The MedCard works in association with the MedeScan™ software and may be scanned directly with the MedScanner™ USB Scanner module.
The MedCard is a component of the MedBytes™ product suite to enable wireless access to the Patient Electronic Medical Record. Each MedCard is encoded with an RFID Wireless Tag number used to associate the patient's Records with the MedCard.
The MedCard Patient's RFID Number is electronically stored in the Electronic Health Record using the MedeScan Wireless MedCard Scanning Software.
